Fashion Designer Lucy Sykes And Writer Jo Piazza’s Best Selling Novel Knockoff, Is Set To Be Made Into A Bollywood Movie

Bollywood is known to make copies and remakes of hollywood movies does another deal to do the same.Sources say that Disney India called Lucy sykes  wanted to make a Bollywood movie of The Knockoff in Hindi. They think it’s a story that every professional Indian woman can relate to.

While Bollywood remakes of American films are common—Reservoir Dogs, Phone Booth and Hitch have all been recently remade—it is unusual for novels to be given the Indian film makeover treatment.

Sykes, who first came to prominence in the ’90s as a New York It-Girl together with her sister Plum Sykes, worked as Fashion Director of Marie Claire before  launching her own clothing line and subsequently becoming a fashion consultant.

Sykes, who is British, and Piazza caused a stir in fashion-media circles with The Knockoff. Fans of the novel on social media included Zac Posen and Bobbi Brown, and some pointed out similarities between the novel’s fictional unscrupulous fashion/ tech entrepreneur character Eve Morton and Jennifer Hyman, the CEO of Rent the Runway. Sykes worked as fashion director of the company between 2011 and 2012.

We can only say keep it up bollywood in your remaking and copying works !
